Important news: updates!
Since december 2009, two major extensions have been installed in www.oscarvandillen.com, enhancing its MediaWiki environment considerably:
- Lilypond - provides notation in the pages, notation which can be clicked to playback: one can now actually listen to the examples (see Category:Lilypond for current contents)
- Semantic MediaWiki - semantically links the contents in a very flexible way, e.g. between whiteboards and theory of music (see Property:Treats for these current contents)

www.oscarvandillen.com is now integrated with Wikimedia Commons, the world's largest database of media under CC-BY-SA. You can click on the picture to the right to see the integration with "Commons" where the picture file is actually hosted. Don't be fooled, it may look as if the picture is on this website, but look closer and you'll find it is not: the two are integrated, in wiki-terms: "interwikied".
www.oscarvandillen.com is an independent website, but content hosted elsewhere can now be shown in various ways as part of this website, technically integrated. This is similar to the use of widgets, but much easier to use.
To take a look at Wikimedia Commons, here is the commons:Main_Page, and here for example the commons:Category:Music by country. Pictures and other media found in Commons can be treated as if they are hosted on this website form now on. Enjoy! oscar 02:23, 23 January 2010 (CET)
